Description
1876 Shield Nickel. Proof-67 (PCGS).
Soft, multicolored iridescent toning adorns both sides of this fully impressed, virtually pristine specimen. This is an exceptionally well preserved and attractive survivor from an estimated mintage of 1,500 to 2,000 Proofs, most examples of which are in lower grades with limited eye appeal.
