Undated (1861-1865) OUR LITTLE MONITOR / THE UNION MUST AND SHALL BE PRESERVED JACKSON. Fuld-238/402 a. Rarity-4. Copper. Plain Edge. MS-65 BN (PCGS).

19 mm. A lustrous and satiny Gem with remnants of pinkish-orange color shining through otherwise dominant glossy-brown and steel-blue toning. Well struck for this popular Civil War token type. The dies for this popular type are attributed to Henry D. Higgins ("Indiana primitive").
