"1862" (ca. 1864) Charles K. Warner Store Card. The Monitor. Musante GW-741, Baker-583Y. Copper. MS-65 RB (PCGS).
27.8 mm. Considerable original red remains on both sides, complemented by soft accents of blue and violet. Boldly prooflike and very handsome. The Monitor die was cracked twice from the rim to the smokestack, one crack extending down to the ironclad. Likely one of just four struck, though a copper one was not offered in the January 1878 Haseltine sale.
