Description
VENEZUELA. 12-1/2 Centimos, 1944. Denver Mint. NGC MS-63.
KM-Y-30; Stohr-68. Also known as the "Locha". A one year type, with the shield design changed slightly from previous years. Due to the shortage of nickel in wartime, the composition was changed to 70% Copper and 30% Zinc. A pleasing example of the type, with full luster, good strike, and a warm brassy-orange hue.
