SPANISH COLONIAL. Quintet of Reales (5 Pieces), 17th to 18th Centuries. Average Grade: ABOUT GOOD.
Weights range from 2.48 to 3.87 gms. The Cobs are very darkly toned, variably encrusted with sand particles. Two of them exhibit sufficient detail to determine that they are from the Potosi Mint, dated 1683 and 1691. These coins are thought to originate from the 1715 Plate Fleet.
