GREAT BRITAIN. Duo of World War I Fallen Soldier Uniface Bronze Medals (2 Pieces), ND (ca. 1920). VIRTUALLY AS MADE.
This enticing pairing features a regularly sized "dead man's penny,"-- issued to family members of the member fallen in battle in World War I --(120mm, presented to the next of kin of Harold Lindsay), and a smaller sized blank issue, likely a somewhat later or imitative issue (80mm). Both pieces are essentially as made, and offer an alluring overall appearance. A great duo for the student of WWI issues and related Exonumia. The smaller specimen emanates from Schulman 354 (2017) lot # 1506.
