GREAT BRITAIN. Anglo-Gallic. Aquitaine. Hardi d'argent, ND (1362-72). Poiters Mint. Edward the Black Prince. PCGS AU-55.
Dup-1126; Elias-205b. Obverse: Half-length figure of Edward standing facing beneath Gothic canopy, holding sword in right hand and raising left in benediction; Reverse: Long cross pattee; lis in first and fourth angle, leopard in second and third. An interesting Anglo-Gallic piece, this coin is from the reign of Edward the Black Prince who died before he could take the English throne. This example retains hints of luster and is well struck and centered.
