Description

GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, ND (1280). York Mint. Edward I. PCGS MS-62.

S-1429; N-1015. Class 2b. Obverse: Crowned facing bust; Reverse: Long cross pattee, with trefoils in angles. Absolutely captivating, this Penny is the finest example of its class ever held in a PCGS holder. Brilliant peacock toning paints the obverse legends, illuminating the coin in a vivid technicolor display. Exceptional strike quality, with a hint of a die shift visible on the crown, and no evidence of clipping. A worthy presentation piece for the connoisseur.
