INDO-SKYTHIANS. Azes II, ca. 35-12 B.C. AR Tetradrachm. NGC EF.
HGC-12, 637; Senior-98.371T. Obverse: Azes on horse right, holding whip; no in Kharosthi to right; Reverse: Athena standing right, extending hand and holding spear and shield; monograms to left and right. A lovely example with light golden toning and a decent strike for the type. Some porosity is present, which is not uncommon for this crude issue.
