ITALY. Bruttium. Medma. AR Stater (8.69 gms), ca. 330-320 B.C. NGC AU, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 4/5.

HGC-1, 1596; Pegasi-1; Gorini-Unlisted Group (O2/R13). Obverse: Pegasos flying left, Reverse: Helmeted head of Athena left; M below. This lovely specimen maintains a delicate balance of luster and rainbow tone on problem-free and lightly circulated surfaces. The die pairing-- seemingly unlisted in Gorini --appears to link groups II and IV.
