Description
1865 West Virginia Civil War Service Medal. Honorably Discharged. Vernon-497. Bronze. Very Fine.
40 mm x 79 mm overall. The ribbon is retained, but is lightly soiled. Edge inscribed WILM M LEMMON CO C 15TH REG INF VOLS. Lemmon entered service as a private in September 1862, and was mustered into Company C of the West Virginia 15th Infantry. An information sheet from the American Civil War Research Database noting his basic service record is included.
