1924 Peace Silver Dollar. MS-67+ (PCGS).
Breathtakingly beautiful and exceedingly rare upper end Superb Gem preservation for this underrated Philadelphia Mint Peace dollar issue. Dusted with light silver and antique gold iridescence, both sides are fully lustrous with a billowy satin texture to the finish. Fully struck throughout with impressively smooth surfaces that border on pristine. Although often grouped with the 1922, 1923 and 1925 as one of the four most common silver dollars of this type, the 1924 is appreciably scarcer that those other issues in attractive Mint State preservation. As a solidly graded MS-67+ the coin offered here is nothing short of rare from a condition standpoint. An exciting offering for the advanced Set Registry collector, and sure to sell for a strong premium.
