1904 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-62 (PCGS).
Bathed in rich steely-mauve and smoky-gray patina, direct lighting calls forth vivid undertones of reddish-rose and cobalt blue. The strike is full, and a universally reflective finish is appreciable to the more persistent viewer. The 1904 is the final regular issue Proof in the popular and widely collected Morgan silver dollar series. It is a key date issue for its type, the mintage of 650 Proofs is the lowest in this series after 1891, in which year the same number of Proofs were struck.
