1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 43-d, W-5225. Rarity-1. No Sprig Above Plow. Unc Details--Cleaned (NGC).
152.5 grains. Steely-brown and pale rose patina provides superior eye appeal for this sharp and well struck example. Free of significant marks, as well, a hard and satiny texture further enhances this coin's appeal. Evidence for the NGC qualifier is minimal and includes a touch of curious glossiness to both sides. All in all, a desirable and scarce Mint State example of both the type and die marriage that is sure to catch the eye of discerning bidders.
PCGS# 763359. NGC ID: AUL8.
