Lot of (2) NJ-211 & NJ-213. New Jersey. 1786. 1 & 6 Shillings. PMG Choice Fine 15 & Very Fine 20 Net, Repaired.
Signatures seen of Ewing, Smith, and Van Cleve. Printed by Isaac Collins, 1786. Trenton, New Jersey. This was the last 18th century colonial issue for New Jersey. Both notes have the state coat of arms at left. The One Shilling note is printed in all black text. The Six Shilling note is printed in red and black. PMG mentions "Repaired" for both notes. The PMG Population Report shows that Very Fine 25 is the Top Grade for both of these denominations. This is a very nice pair of denominations from this challenging late series.
