Diagnostics for die pair 5 include two vertical die lines below Liberty's chin and a die dot between US in TRUST. Evidence of repunching appears within the loops of the mintmark. The design detail is needle-sharp, particularly on the lower portion of the eagle and olive leaves. A softly lustrous, steel-gray survivor from a mintage of just over 1 million coins. Carson City collectors will pay close attention as this important variety crosses the block.
