1823 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-107. Rarity-3. MS-62+ (PCGS).
Undeniably original surfaces exhibit mottled steel-blue and olive iridescence to a base of warm pearl gray patina. This is a sharply struck and lustrous example with superior quality for the assigned grade. It is sure to sell for a strong premium, likely to a collector who appreciates the rarity of early dated Capped Bust half dollars in attractive Mint State preservation.
