1652 (ca. 1856) Pine Tree Twopence Struck Copy by Thomas Wyatt. Newman N. Silver. AU-58.
15.0 mm. 14.1 grains. Coin turn. A rarity in the Wyatt series, missing from the extensive run of these issues in the Boyd-Ford collection. Glossy and pleasing with golden toning over lighter silver gray surfaces. Pretty well centered on both sides, crisp and problem free. A neat little piece.
From the E Pluribus Unum Collection. Earlier from our (Bowers and Merena's) sale of the Saccone Collection, November 1989, lot 3067.
