A generally brilliant coin, we note only the lightest champagne-gold iridescence drifting across both sides. Sharply struck with surfaces that are uncommonly smooth for a Liberty Seated dollar issue that, when offered in Mint State, is usually heavily abraded from years of rough handling in Treasury Department hands. Scarcer than the 1860-O in Uncirculated grades, as well, this Choice 1859-O is sure to catch the eye of astute collectors.
