1795 Flowing Hair Silver Dollar. BB-25, B-6. Rarity-3. Three Leaves. VF-20 (PCGS). OGH.
Warmly patinated in dominant pewter-gray, both sides exhibit intermingled highlights of antique gold and powder blue as the coin rotates under a light. This is a well balance mid grade early dollar with all major design elements bold and surfaces that are impressively smooth in most areas. A few light adjustment marks along the upper reverse border are as made. With 300 to 500 examples believed extant (per Q. David Bowers, 2013), BB-25 is one of the more popular varieties of the 1795 Flowing Hair dollar for type purposes, especially in grades through VF, as here. BB Die State III.
