KM-2; K-872; Hsu-38. A well struck coin with grayish-blue toning and a few light marks. According to Kann, the Kiau Chau 5 and 10 Cents entered circulation in October 1909. Although this issue was met with acceptance, it remained short lived. The German involvement in World War I found the port of Kiau Chau under British and Japanese siege on August 27, 1914, and ended on November 7 with Kiau Chau remaining under Japanese control until returned to China in 1922.

鑄工精美，灰藍色包漿，輕微印記。 據耿愛德所述大德國寶伍分及壹角於 1909 年 10 月進入流通。雖然市場廣泛接受，但通行時間很短。由於一次大戰的爆發，膠州灣在1914年8月27日遭到英國及日本包圍，至11月7日被攻佔。膠州灣遭日本控制，直到1922年才交還中國。
