L&M-936; BHM-3666; Eimer-1838. Diameter: 38mm. Obverse: Capped bust facing slightly left; Reverse: Legend and date in ten lines. Edge : Plain. A fairly SCARCE and interesting medal, this British-produced piece celebrates the Chinese ambassador during his trip to Great Britain, where he visited-- among others --the mint at Birmingham. Very little in the way of any rub is noted upon the high points, though some light smoothing and minor spots of roughness-- rather typical for this temperamental metal --are observed in the fields. Quite brilliant overall and still highly pleasing.
