Description

CHINA. Fantasy "Emperor Tao-Kwang" Silver Dollar, "Year 1" (1821). PCGS MS-64.

K-B11; KMX-95; cf. WS-1349-1. Obverse: Facing portrait of Emperor Tao-Kwang (1820-50) with outer interwoven geometric pattern; Reverse: Facing dragon in center with "The First Year of Tao-Kwang" in Chinese characters around the ornamental legends. Stunningly preserved and beautiful, this silver fantasy displays smooth fields with a mixture of red, yellow, green and blue tone around the edges on both sides. Undoubtedly one of the finest extant for this type and sure to attract even more interest because of its coveted pedigree.

正面道光帝正面像,外圈為交織的幾何圖案。反面中央龍面朝前,邊緣花飾漢字銘文"道光元年"。品相驚艷的銀版臆造幣。底板光滑,兩面邊緣均有包漿,糅合紅、黃、綠、藍四色。存世品相最佳之一,流傳有序,定能引起激烈競投。
