CHINA. Qing (Ch'ing) Dynasty. Gold 10 Tael Ingot, ND (ca. 1750). Graded "AU" by Huaxia Coin Grading Company.
Dimensions: 81.5 x 26.9 mm; Weight: 369 gms. "Yuan Ji" (private bank name) at center, "Yu" at either end, no stamps on reverse. Typical shape with slightly raised ends and ripple pattern on face. The three stamps across face are similar to those found on ingots from the wreck of the VOC East-Indiaman Geldermalsen except the stamps on this bar are circular instead of square. No markings on base or sides. Close inspection of the surfaces reveals minor evidence of being handled. Attractive pale gold tone with luster in the protected areas offers a pleasing appearance.
Estimate: $20000.00 - $25000.00
