St. John's, Newfoundland. John Smith is depicted at top center of the note, with a codfish at left and a dog guarding a safe at right. The number "2" and "two" can be seen emblazoned across the border design of the obvers. The reverse of the note displays the bank name at center flanked at left and right by ornate "2" counters. The reverse of the note is printed in dark green ink with typical ornate lathe work typical of ABNC notes of the era.
