1909 Indian Half Eagle. MS-65 (PCGS). OGH--First Generation.

Although much rarer than the 1909-D in an absolute sense, the 1909 is still common enough to be considered a type coin in the Indian half eagle series. The type as a whole is conditionally rare in Gem Mint State, however, and the coin we offer here represents one of the finest '09-P fives to pass through one of our sales in recent months. A fully impressed piece with billowy mint frost and pretty color in a rich yellow-gold shade is also a praiseworthy attribute. Distracting abrasions are conspicuous by their absence.
