1876 Trade Dollar. Type I/II. Proof-64 (NGC). CAC. OH.

A beautiful specimen with mottled cobalt blue and reddish-apricot to a base of iridescent champagne-gold toning. Sharply struck design elements are satiny in texture and contrast somewhat with the fields as the surfaces rotate under a light. This Centennial year issue is a perennial favorite with Proof type collectors as well as trade dollar specialists, especially in attractively original preservation, as here.
