A lovely, satiny Gem displaying just a whisper of champagne iridescence on particularly on the reverse. The two varieties of the year, having either three rays or four rays beneath ONE in the denomination, are both popularly sought by Peace dollar specialists. According to Walter Breen's Complete Encyclopedia a , these differences first came to public notice in 1940.
