PHILIPPINES. Silver Saint Joseph "Anting-Anting" Medal, "1770" (ca. 1880's). PCGS EF-40 Gold Shield.
Honeycutt-1412. Featuring St. Joseph receiving coins from an angel on the obverse and a Mexican-style liberty cap and rays on the reverse, this wholesome, interesting piece served the purpose of a lucky charm or religious amulet, owing to catholic friars who distributed them to the masses.
