Obverse: Winged Genius facing, with scallop on head and garland across midsection, holding wreath in each hand; Reverse: LUITPOLD / PRINZ-REGENT VON BAYERN / PROTEKTOR / DEUTSCH-NATIONALE / KUNST GEWERBE / AUSSTELLUNG / ZU-MÜNCHEN / 1888 in eight lines; all within decorative scallop border. Edge : Plain. Olive-brown surfaces; exceptionally high relief and incredibly artistic, along with being a rather unusual shape.
