Obverse: Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding shield and spear over shoulder; Reverse: Theodosius II standing facing, holding labarum and globus cruciger; star to left; TESOB. Despite the imperfections, a charming and brilliant overall example of this later Roman gold issue.
