35 mm x 51 mm.14.0 grams. Unmarked as to metallic composition. Two-part badge with a pinback hanger inscribed I. O. G. T. Above an eye and an open bible is TRUTH / LOVE, and below, PURITY / JUVENILE TEMPLARS. The reverse is blank. The Independent Order of Good Templars was founded in 1851 as an international fraternal organization which originated as part of the temperance movement, promoting abstinence from alcohol and other drugs.
