Blended deep honey-gold and lighter pinkish-rose patina provides a pleasingly original appearance for this minimally circulated example. Only two die marriages are known for the final Philadelphia Mint issue in the Classic Head half eagle series, and they are of comparable rarity in numismatic circles.
