Buffalo Nickel
1913-D Buffalo Nickel. Type I. MS-67+ (PCGS). CAC.
An exquisitely toned jewel with warm tangerine at the centers and cooler powder blue and violet at the borders. This color is backlit by radiant satiny luster across each side. Among the most desirable survivors, with only 4 listed higher by PCGS and approval by CAC to confirm the superior quality. Surely an irresistible opportunity for advanced PCGS Registry Set participants. The 1913-D is the first Denver Mint Buffalo nickel and the only one of the short-lived Type I design. Mint State survivors are scarcer than those of the 1913 Type I, and with solid Superb Gem quality and breathtakingly beautiful toning the coin offered here is nothing short of magnificent.
