Liberty Head Nickel
1912-S Liberty Head Nickel. MS-65+ (PCGS).
Lustrous satin surfaces exhibit iridescent champagne-apricot and pale gold highlights to dominant nickel-gray patina. There is evidence of die fatigue on both sides, although the strike was even and all design elements are uniformly sharp. Expectably smooth for the assigned grade, this is a lovely high grade example of a historic and key date entry in the nickel five-cent series.
