Connecticut Copper
1786 Connecticut Copper. Miller 2.2-D.2, W-2475. Rarity-6. Mailed Bust Right, Broad Shouldered or Noble Head. Good Details--Environmental Damage (PCGS).
126.0 grains. A famous Connecticut Copper rarity and this is a pleasing lower grade example with desirable attributes. Remarkably well centered for the variety such that the entirety of the legends and date are visible. Rarely is this the case. Well worn but evenly so with fully outlined devices as well. Surfaces are dark brown with lighter reddish-steel highpoints. Lightly granular throughout but with no serious marks or flaws. Fewer than 20 examples are known.
PCGS# 686824.
