1773 Virginia Halfpenny. Newman 22-S, W-1550. Rarity-5. Period After GEORGIVS, 7 Harp Strings. MS-64 RB (PCGS).

116.8 grains. Sharp and attractive with nice, original skin and lots of flashy mint red in the protected areas. Received a firm strike that landed just barely off center such that only a portion of the dentils are lost. No marks or spots disrupt the semi proof-like luster. A premium quality example to represent the Virginia halfpenny type.
