Complete Cased Set of 1876 United States Centennial Exposition Medals. Mint State.
Included are: HK-20, Julian CM-10, Swoger-3IIa, silver, 38 mm, light to moderate hairlining is noted; HK-22, Julian CM-10, Swoger-3IIb, gilt copper, 38 mm; Julian CM-11, Swoger-3Idv1, copper, 57 mm; and Julian CM-11, Swoger 3Icv1, gilt copper, 57 mm. The case is fully present, although the lid and base are detached from one another. Light to moderate scuffing is noted for the leather exterior, the plush interior better preserved with no blemishes of note. Also included in this lot are (2) two ribbons from Exposition buildings: a red ribbon from the Machinery Hall and a blue ribbon from the Horticultural Hall. The ribbons are creased from folding with some fading to the design elements. (Total: 4 medals; 1 case; 2 ribbons)
