Framed Art Tiles depicting George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant. Glazed Ceramic. Extremely Fine.

Tiles each approximately 6 inches x 4.5 inches; 11.5 inches x 19.5 inches, as framed. Tiles each bear the mark of J.G. & J.F. Low Art Tile Works, Chelsea, Mass. on the reverse, with copyright date of 1885, perhaps prompted by the recent passing of Ulysses S. Grant, in July of that year. Each tile is glazed in a different color: Washington in dark rose, Lincoln in deep reddish orange and Grant in blue. The wood frame is original to the piece and of fine construction. A few handling marks are noted, as one would expect for the age. An interesting presidential art piece.
