65 mm. Handsome autumn-brown patina on the obverse, the reverse in bolder olive-copper. This distinctly inferior design included a 36 year-old War of 1812 reverse for Winfield Scott, recycled for Taylor. The government made up for this with the massive medals that soon followed (Julian MI-24 through MI-27).
