77 mm. 237.6 grams. Originally by Augustin Dupre, this is a Societe International Des Collectionneurs De Monnaies et Medailles Paris Mint striking from modern dies. Edge inscribed COPY OF DESIGN BY BENJAMIN FRANKLIN: ORIGINALS STRUCK IN 1783. S.I.C.M.M. PARIS - FRANCE-GO. NO. 0230 ARGENT. Like many of this issue, the matte pearl gray finish exhibits mottled, coppery overtones, particularly on the obverse. Some very light pin scratches are noted in the obverse fields. Housed in its original S.I.C.M.M. hinged case, still with the original descriptive brochure.
