74 mm x 197 mm. Emblazoned fasces above an American Eagle holding a ribbon inscribed UNION, FOR THE SAKE OF THE UNION. OUR COUNTRY'S HOPE within a radiant display is found above a flag-flanked portrait of Harrison and another ribbon inscribed HARRISON & REFORM. Below is a rustic cabin and the date 4th MAY 1840. Beneath this is the maker's name PUBLISHED BY J.S. HORTON CORNER OF BALTO AND SOUTH STREETS and an additional line printed on the threaded fringe that is no longer readable. Sound, and well above average for a 180-year old ribbon!
