(large eagle) on a circa 1835 Hard Times token. HT-171, Low-328, W-MA-160-10a. Host coin Very Fine.
A large and impressive eagle with out-stretched wings, holding arrows and an olive branch in its claws. The style reminds one of the eagle found on the reverse of various U.S. coins.
