1875 / S.L. BALKAM. / DEC on the obverse and W.T. WOODBURY on an 1819 Matron Head large cent. Brunk-Unlisted, Rulau-Unlisted. Host coin About Good.

Samuel Longfellow Balkam (1853-1903), from Lewiston, ME, was a cousin of Henry W. Longfellow, the famous poet. Who Woodbury was or the significance of the stamped date is unknown.
