J. LODGE / PHILa on an 1802 Draped Bust large cent. Brunk-Unlisted, Rulau-Unlisted. Host coin Good.
This is the stamp of either Jacob Lodge a Philadelphia, PA machinist (1860) or of James Lodge a Philadelphia, PA blacksmith. Both men were operating at the same time and are both listed on the 1860 Federal census. A bit of research with city directories should shed more light on their activities.
