According to Brunk, James R. Wright was a silversmith working in Lexington, VA from 1847 to 1856 (Kovel 1989). However, an advertisement from 1847 states that he was a dealer in " Clocks, Watches, Jewelry, Hardware, Cutlery, & c " located on Main Street in Lexington, VA. The ad goes on to state that he repairs all the items he sells as well. While Brunk lists only two dates of large cents reported, there are a total of six different dates known including this unreported one.
