S.J. DANSER on an 1852 Braided Hair large cent. Brunk D-72 var., Rulau-Unlisted. Host coin Fine.
This is the stamp of Samuel J. Danser, a tinsmith working in Bridgewater, NJ according to the 1860 Federal census. The piece listed in Brunk, an 1853 quarter, is for a J. DANSER, but it may be the same stamp with the S not striking up well or off the edge of the coin.
