WENDEL & BRO. on an 1836 Capped Bust dime JR-3. Brunk W-390, Rulau-Z98. Host coin Very Good.
Wendel & Brother of Oswego, New York, is listed in the 1859 New York State Business Directory as jewelers specializing mainly in watches, working at 177 Main Street. This is a new example, unlisted by Brunk and Rulau, and the 2nd found on an early bust dime.
