Barber Half Dollar

1901 Barber Half Dollar. Proof-67 * (NGC).

This enchanting Superb Gem exhibits mottled powder blue, rose-russet and pale silver toning to the obverse, the reverse with subtle olive-blue highlights to more reserved silver-gray tinting. Both sides are wonderfully original in preservation, and also expertly preserved to fully justify the coveted Superb Gem grade from NGC. From a mintage of 813 Proof half dollars of the date, the typically survivor of which grades no finer than Proof-64.
