Capped Bust Half Dollar
1827 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-146. Rarity-2. Curl Base 2. MS-62 (PCGS).
Close to if not just within the condition census for this important Red Book variety as this is the only obverse die of 1827 to have the curl base 2. Bright silver and lustrous on both sides, with a frame of attractive orange-russet at the rims. The strike is sharp and minor die clashing is present. Choice for the grade. A tough coin to find this nice, and destined for a high grade Bust half dollar collection.
PCGS# 6145.
